Pours a copper color with a tan head. Aroma is caramel, toast, and citrus earthy hops. Flavor is malty, caramel, toasty, and a bitter citrus earthy finish.

Nov 1, 2007 on tap-pours a blotchy off white head and copper color. Aroma is mild medium citrus, medium malt. Taste is medium citrus-some bitterness, (comes across as mostly northwest but some English-flat/metallic), medium malt-caramel. Solid. OK carbonation.

Feb 27, 2006 draught. Nice deep red hue, the head fades away after a few moments. The aroma is thin, but there’s a bit of grapefruit and sweet malt present. This isn’t super hoppy, though a bit biting. A bit of citrusy sweetness is there. This just needs better and more hop flavor. Not a great rendition of the style, it reminds me more of an American amber.
