This seems a bit strange, especially if you check out the website about the beer aging well and being ultra premium and so on... Pour is a lovely copper color with about two fingers of foam that dies down to a thin layer on the surface. Aromas are sweet malts (apple juice concentrate) with a touch of a sour note. Flavor is really interesting, and I’m not sure quite how I feel about it. It’s like a pretty boring lager with some jukes and turns from the sour mash, which makes it pretty darn interesting. Then the next sip seems pretty plain and I’m not picking up the sourness... then it’s back. Wierd. I don’t know that I want a case of the stuff or anything, but it is fairly unique and doesn’t completely suck. Pours fast with little head. goes down smooth and light with a nice little kick of flavor. The sour mash is definately present and recognizable. I give this beer props for being unique, but it did not knock my socks off.
A good social beer while out watching the game. 4nu815 (3), Jackson, Tennessee, USA does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 9, 2007 I have been waiting to try this one for a while. Since I read this article http://memphis.bizjournals.com/memphis/stories/200 is coppery in color with a sweet almost wort like smell. Very little head. Flavor is mild with a little bit of hop notes. Mouthfeel is very carbonated. Over all it is interesting but IMHO not an incredible beer. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is hops, brown sugar, caramel malt, with a caramel malty flavor, and some mid-palate brown sugary, toffee, and hop notes. Not terrible, but not a beer I’d probably have again. drpimento (828), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA

Does give it a bit of a bite and curious character. Edgy. Tangy. a bit chewy. Not much hop. Fizzy. A bit boozy. Made yesterday at City Brewery and introduced today at the Between the Bluffs Beer fest. Mildly interestsing. Supposedly a former Coors Exec.
