Commercial Description:
The Dubbel is a nice brown creamy sweet, malty and strong ale. It is a traditional Belgian dubbel ale with a secondary fermentation. This complex ale has many flavor characteristics. At 8% abv you will notice a slight alcohol warmth at the finish .

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a large dark brown head that lingered forever. Looks rather like a porter. The aroma was fruity, toasty and had touches of malted milk, brown sugar and port wine. The flavor was fruity, malty and toasty with notes of candied cherries, light chocolate, rum and port wine. The finish was medium length malty, sweet and fruity. Fairly thick. Nice.

Bottle. Pours deep brown with 2-finger off-tan head. Nose is roasty caramel malt, some fig, nut, and cacao notes. Tastes dark malty, with cacao, fig, brown sugar, and some earthy, spicy notes.

Aroma was fruity with some roasted notes. poured dark brown. The flavor wasn’t what I expected it was roasty and made me think I was drinking a belgian porter. some dark fruit character. chewy palate. once again in the belgian ball park, but not quite belgian.
