larsga (2447), Oslo, Norway Nov 29, 2008 Small white head. Deep yellow body. Mealy buttery bicarb soda aroma, kind of like waffles, with papery sodapop notes. Dryish buttery grassy bicarb soda taste, kind of watery and salty. Mid-bodied. Dry buttery straw aftertaste. Pitiful. (0.33l bottle, gift from the in-laws.) KnutAlbert (2462), Oslo, Norway Nov 28, 2008 Bottle, thanks Geir Ove!
Butter aroma, some baking soda.
Very pale.
Mostly water, a bit salty, tastes like it was brewed on brackish water. I’d rather have a glass of Madeira, pleas! joss (3244), Garching b. München, Germany Oct 30, 2008 Hazy golden, low head. Straw and cardboard nose.
Sugary straw flavor, dust. Low on body and mouthfeel.
watery. highlandlad (1203), Sydney, Australia Oct 30, 2008 A cookie-cutter European pale lager. Must stop buying those. Uninspiring virtually headless appearance. Stale aroma of cardboard and lemon rind. Stop me if you’ve smelled that before. Taste: sweetish malts, corn and a grainy, faintly astringent finish. Poor-quality metallic hop. Could almost be Pride of Ringwood. Good to know it has a European cousin. (33cl bottle from Petersham Liquor Mart. BB March 09) azlondon (527), Greater London, England Sep 10, 2008 Appearance: Dark golden, clear. Good amount of white head.
Aroma: Grains, quite sweet. Some yeast and malt.
Taste: Crisp, on the sweet side. Some malt.
