Gazza (720), Worcester, Worcestershire, England Oct 28, 2007 Bottle from Fukito - A very passable attempt at an American-style IPA; amber in colour with an obvious hoppiness on the nose. The flavour is malt with loads of bitter, citrussy hops including a fair amount of complexity such as grassy notes, soft fruits, pine needles, lemons. The finish gets even more bitter - yet not out of balance - and is delivered with a final smack of the fresh hops. Very good.
Fukito (603), Buenos Aires, Argentina Oct 2, 2007 Bottle, September 07. Clear, golden color with a bubbly white head and effervescent carbonatation. Flowery, yeasty aroma with some caramel notes. Flavor is bitterness, some caramel malts and a bitter, resinous end. Medium to light mouthfeel, a tad too fizzy. Very dry. Refreshing. Nice IPA, although a bit too dry and gassy.
