Tap. Light aromas of cereal, lemon and dough with a heavy dose of banana. Head is large, creamy, white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is faintly hazy gold. Flavor starts moderately acidic and finishes lightly sweet and moderately acidic. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation and a dry finish. The banana aspect of this tasted almost artificial, the rest of it is just okay.

At brewpub. Hazy yellow with thick white head. Aromatic yeast. Lots of coriander. Salt water taffy. Banana esters are not too ripe. Smooth carbonation, nice mouthfeel, never sticky. Good flavors with solid grain character and a dry but thin finish.

Vibrant yellow. Cloudy with a fluffy head. Sugary, lemony, marshmallowy aroma. Sweet, a little thin, with some bitterness, light fruit and spice.

Draft at the cafe. I love a good hefe, and they generally don’t fare well here at Ratebeer. This is one of the best I’ve had though. Towering long lasting puffy white head. Tons of bananna and a spicy clove in the nose, a light yeastiness as well. Soft palate with a super smooth banana up front. Finishes slightly spicy with the clove and a bit of bubblegum. Its a little light bodied compared to some german hefe’s but its not watery. Very impressed with everything I had from this brewery.

Draft… Murky, straw-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. Pale grains, light clove, moderate banana and Super Bubble gum in the aroma. Medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and pillow-soft carbonation. Sweet and fruity up front with a crisp hop zing on the backside. Coarse, semi-dry finish. Fairly well made, but hefes aren’t really my thing.
