Skyview (3060), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 19, 2008 Served on draught at the Wisconsin Micro-brewers Beerfest in Chilton, Wisconsin. Pours a hazy caramel colored amber brew with a creamy and thick beige head that has some good retention and some excellent sticky lacing. Aroma of semi-dry caramel malt, some flowery hops, toffee and a hint of citrus character. Taste has a more semi-sweet malty flavor than Corner Pub’s regular Fest Rye Ale, along with some flavors of toffee and some earthy herbal spice. Finish is semi-sweet with a light caramel and dry herb aftertaste. Though this beer was missing the hoppy bitterness of most other IPAs, this Rye beer was quite refreshing.
