On cask at the Wisconsin Micro-Brewer’s Beer Fest.. and this cask was either mighty shaken up or it had a lot going on in there because it made quite the scene when tapped! Poured a full glass of foam capped with a tall beige head.. eventually settled to a murky, chunky brown. The aroma was sweet as expected with milky chocolates, vanilla, and caramel present, all with a moderate roast to ‘em.. some earthy accents.. this was like liquid chocolate cake. The flavor found sweeter chocolates all over with light-moderate roast.. earthy and candied herbal accents.. dry-roasted chocolate bitterness surrounded.. final impression of a chocolate milkshake with a bit of booze added. Lower carbonation on the palate once everything settled, with a decent flow at that point.. tasty, lengthy chocolate finish. Decent stuff.
