Dogbrick (2266), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 20, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear dark amber-copper color with a medium thin and creamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Aroma of caramel and toasted malt, with a touch of hops. Medium, smooth body with a sweet caramel malt character. Hints of roasted nuts and hops as well. The finish is sweet toasted malt with a lingering malty aftertaste. Above average overall. argo0 (6233), Washington DC, USA May 29, 2006 Clear copper body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, light toasted, chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, earthy, light chocolate, low bitterness. Light body with some crispness. bkelley68 (468), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Aug 11, 2005 Reddish body with a slightly off white head. Textbook malty aromas with hints of cookies and bread. Carmel on the palate. Only real knock is that it might need to be a little less sweet. Nice. kujo9 (1044), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA Jan 17, 2005 On tap @ Cornerstone: Lasting large creamy light beige head. Medium amberish body. Light grainy roasted & toasty malt aroma, clean otherwise. Grainy & toasted malt flavor. Finish is dry & toasted malt as is the aftertaste. Very little roast in the flavor. Pretty clean of fruitiness or other off flavors. Fuller light body, soft medium cabonation, & creamy m/f. Overall a pretty good amber lager. Clean, but a little thin in overall flavor. crizay (1070), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Jan 8, 2005 Another one from here that had a hop bite to it, and well didn’t taste good at all.
