[1633-20080825] 330mL bottle. Smells like a cute fuzzy little skunk crawled into the brewery and curled up to sleep inside a sack of wet, rotting grains. Clear, yellow body with quick white bubbles. Tastes like that same skunk stirred some hours later and farted inside its grainy cocoon. Light body is watery. Yuck. Where’s my lime?!

2008-08-25. Insert giant picture of a tick mark here. Sigh. Very pale yellow body with quickly fading white head. Skunky grains leap out of the glass and smack me around the face, but eventually blow off a bit, leaving behind a wasteland of diluted grainy crop residue. The flavour manages to pack a rough astringent wallop despite its feeble astringent underpinnings. One would hope that its dilute wishy washy palate would have mitigated its strength, but alas no. It manages to dig deep and offer up one last insulting poor use of malt, rough and astringent. Normally I would be eagerly passing the buck for the flaws to the ill-advised clear packaging, or the long journey to the Great White North, but to be brutally frank the skunk factor while present, is not as prominent as it by all accounts should be in the clear bottle. Instead it is the actual core nature of the beer itself that is flawed, with tragic results. Finally a beer that manages to offend me as much spiritually and conceptually as it does gastronomically. My hat is off to you Grupo Modelo; I cannot defeat you. Your kung fu is better. (The author has elected to weep quietly in the corner and will return shortly.) Bottle shamefully extracted from the LCBO, Toronto.

Wow, it’s just abhorrent. I mean how could you possibly make a worse beer? You’d have to simply brand toilet water as an ultra light beer, and you’d still have something better than this. This is the absolute pits of beer.

Ok I have no clue what Grupo Modelo (Corona) was thinking. Regular corona extra is light as it is. How is this possible? Why make beer so light and and low in alcohol to sell, just get into the bottled water market. This beer is almost clear as water. I dunno i rather drink my sink water then spend money on this.
