~Pours black with creamy brown head. Nice lacing. ~Somkey coffee and smoked malt aroma ~Smokey coffee flavor. Alot of bitterness. ~Dry bitter smokey finish. ~I liked this one at first. Then after drinking a bit more it became too dry and too bitter and smokey. It said that its a lager. Seems more like a porter to me. Not a very good porter though.

On-tap at the brewery. They had it spelled Black Perle. Pours black with a creamy tan head, sheet lace, nice retention. Smells malty dry, clightly sour, not much sweetness, maybe some bitter sweet chocolate. Tastes roasty malty, only very slight sweetness and again with the sour maltiness. Medium body, good carbonation. Good beer, but a Schwarzbier? Not sure about that style.

On tap at the brewery. Pours opaque with a beige head that left some lacing. Nose anf flavor consisted of toasted malt, light hops, and some coffee.

On tap at the Linkery. Black with a creamy light brown head. Milk chocolate and slightly roasty aroma and taste. Decent.
