JorisPPattyn (4246), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 24, 2008 Draught Good yellow head, orange-amber ale. Again dry hops, tad of ureum, and some citrus. Moderate to good bitterness, some pale and caramel malts, ending however fizzy and watery. Medium bodied at best. Not very convincing. From the IPA quattuor, the Idiot is definitely the best hands down.
doubleo (668), San Diego, California, USA Jun 7, 2008 On-tap at the brewery. Pours cloudy orange with a moderate, white head, fades quick, thin sheet lace. Smells mellow citrusy hoppy with a bit of malt on the finish. Nice hop flavors, sweet and citrusy. Malt flavors are somewhat dry. Medium body, good carbonation. Snojerk321 (883), San Diego, California, USA May 30, 2008 On tap @ the brewery. Poured a glowing golden orange, with some head retention. Great aromas of apricot and floral hops. A very clean, balanced finish. Dogbrick (2165), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 15, 2008 Sample at Stone. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium thin light beige head that has decent retention. Thin strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is moderately hoppy with some citrus and malt flavors. Medium-bodied with citrusy hops and malt flavors. The beer’s flavor does not shine much though. The finish is hoppy and short. Overall this brew leaves something to be desired. decaturstevo (1124), decatur, Tennessee, USA Feb 3, 2008 At cbc. A hazed brown orange pour with gooey lace. Light malt and nice hints of hops. A light malt and very good hoppy finish. Carbonation is ok but this beer is a bit thin. A good crisp clean drinker. Very satisfying.
