Commercial Description:
This golden colored ale is smooth, light in flavor, and still retains a slight crispness in its finish, very similar to a European-style pilsner. Our Coronado Golden is delicately hopped with Czechoslovakian Saaz hops, traditionally used in making the classic pilsner. It is our most popular beer at our restaurant and considered our gateway beer into the micro-brew world.

Kind of a cloudy golden color with some good spices. Taste is pretty dry like a pilsener. Really, I liked this much more than their Red and was pretty pleased overall with it.

Clean delicate hop nose. Decent palate with generouse amounts of malt, bread, vannila, and hop flowers tied together with a littledry bitterness and a long light floral finish.

Dark yellow gold color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is malty, fruity and fairly sweet. A medium bodied golden ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are very mild, slightly bitter. Kind of sweet. Mild flavors, but there is a slight hop bite at the very finish. Light and refreshing. It is a nice golden ale; light and mild, smooth taste, slightly sweet and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Rerate from bottle (06/26/04): From the bottle, this beer was a bit more impressive to me. I picked up a more interesting hop profile, especially on the finish. I definetely think this deserves higher than a 2.9 from me. (Original Rating): A very "typical" american style beer. Pale amber color with a very small head. Aroma and flavor is yeasty and metallic. Body is thin and finish is dry and short.

On tap, all over the place. I understand this is not a beer nerds dream beer style, but I like it. It’s got a nice hop bite, clean refreshing.

Lives up to its name being bright gold in color. Light nose. Soft and crisp on the palate with hints of fruit balanced by dry malts.

Bomber. Light aroma of sweet fruit and noble hop. Light pale gold color with a fine white head. It looks like a pale lager. Medium bodied; near creamy carbonation. It is pilsener hop bitter, and there is light fruity flavor. It seems well balanced, but it’s very different. The finish is not quite dry, and it has a very nice amount of bitter. Got a hit of heat at the end. It may not be exciting, but it is very interesting and drinkable.
