riversideAK (1456), Shoreline, Washington, USA May 6, 2008 Bottle from South Bay Liquor. Pours a nice orange, a little hazy with a thin lasting head. Aroma had a good amount of pine and grapefruit, a little bread, pale malts, a touch of booze, and some nice spicy Belgian Yeast. Up front, the flavor was a nice blast of bitterness in the form of pine, grapefruit, and pepper followed by some bready pale malts, some sweeter malts, and banana, clove, spicy esters from the yeast. A little bit of alcohol in the finish, but overall this was a pretty nice. Some spice from the yeast and herbal/piney notes from the hops were left over and lingering. Pretty solid.

Bravo!! jjpm74 (2722), Connecticut, USA Jul 13, 2008 Bomber courtesy of DarkElf. Pours copper with a white head. Smells of resin, citrus, earth, some sweet malt, doughy. Tastes of citrus, resin, dry malt, some touches of pepper, light tartness also there. Finish yields some spicy resin. bhensonb (2713), Woodland, California, USA Jul 10, 2008 Bomber from South Bay Drug. Slightly hazy orange tinged amber color with a minimal white head that quickly degenerated into a few bubbles. My nose knows there’s a lot of pine in here, but it’s not sure whether there is also grapefruit. It’s a very strong aroma. Very full bodied with creamy carbonation. The flavor is like chewing pine needles, with a little malt sweetness. Finish is quite definitely bitter, but it’s smooth, balanced, not harsh. There’s a lot of hop, it’s just not harshly bitter. Damn, but it’s a fantastic drink. HopHeadinAZ (110), USA Jul 9, 2008 22oz Bottle: Pours a hazy medium orange with a small ivory head. The aroma is very Belgian like with notes of Orange and sweeter citrus. I get a good mix of spices, orange and tropical fruit in the taste. There is effervescent quality here too. This is a nice medium to heavier mouth feel and really feels right. While I find myself really liking this beer I have a hard time with the IPA or DIPA category because of the minimal hop presence. General_Gao (2357), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Jul 8, 2008 22oz bottle. The aroma was of flowery hops, citrus zest, apricot, pale malt, and spices. Poured a clear medium orange color. The head was short and off white with decent retention and lacing. Surprisingly fruity with distinct peach and grapefruit up front supported by pineapple, pale malts, and a hint of clove. The pineapple asserted itself even more toward the end and there was a hint of graham cracker. Ample sweetness mitigated the hop bitterness somewhat, which peaked at about 3-4 out of 10. Good stuff.
