Lovely deep orange to copper pour, with a mighty foamberg resting atop the beer. Very piquant and bitter, with a strong citrus quality (duh) and a pleasing dry finish. Not a world beater, and not in the top notch of San Diego’s finest, but a high quality brew. fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

hazy gold, fine white head, scattered drippy lace,
huge sweet pine and citrus aroma with a nice fruity tangerine character enhanced by the sweet malt,
sweet grapefruit flavor, bitterness slowly rises from the depths to balance the sweetness and leave a lasting bitter finish,

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 19, 2007 Clear copper bronze with a frothy lacing white head. Big grapefruit juice hop nose has some soapy character. Starts lightly pale malty sweet and sugary with a big earthy citric soapy bittering hoppiness. Finishes drier, and very bitter with too much soapy character in the hops. Meh. sneagrams3 (1759), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 17, 2007 22oz bottle. Rather hazy dark orange color with a medium sized rocky off white head. Heavy citrus hop aromatics, some cloying malt underneath. Large spectrum of hop characters: spicy, earthen, candied citrus, piney. Ruddy, sweet caramel flavors manifest. Spicy and fruity hop flavors linger in the finish, not a combination I found pleasing. Heavy residual malty sweetness as well, despite a building bitter astringent mouthcoat. Mouthfeel is a heavy medium, almost chewy and rather dry. cbkschubert (2005), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
