| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 21, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Dark goldenrod color, slightly hazy, with a creamy tan head. Aroma is plainly crystal malty with that always-annoying iced tea character. Luckily there are other things in this beer to smell, namely hops. Lots of lychee, tangerine, orange, grapefruit etc. Flavor is identical. Citrus cornucopia + iced tea. Maybe some maple syrupy notes as well. Decent resiny bitterness in the finish, but not really DIPA caliber. Slightly above-medium body, a little cloying, a little sweet. Pawola22 (781), Kansas City, Missouri, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2009 22oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear, bright orange body with a thick, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves lots of lacing. Aroma is big, dense caramels and sweet, juicy citrus. Lots of oranges, pineapples, and chewy melonfruits. Flavor is heavy and deep caramels. Lots of sweet citrus, but pretty dense earth as well. Really nice balance with lots of lingering taste after a dry finish. Overall, a really nice IPA. A little different than most with its bigger body and heavier caramels, but very tasty. I love the slight change of pace and the great balance. Good one. BMan1113VR (2938), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2009 On tap at Stone. Pours with a large white head over a clear gold-to-amber body. Aroma is hoppy with orange, tangerine, sap and caramel. Taste is pine and kumquat, with a caramel back bone. 8.5% is really well hidden. Bubbly carbonation with a somewhat dry mouthfeel. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 23, 2009 Pours from bomber a hazy dark orange, plenty of off-white head and serious lace. Aroma was lovely, big, fresh, piney hops that really hits you hard. Some grapefruit citrus is mixed in as well. The flavour was of big hops, some pine, some citrus fruits, perhaps even mango. Definitely a sharp little bitterness in there. Simply a well made and tasty beer. Coronado does it again! ChazMania (415), Pasadena, California, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 19, 2009 Bomber. I can’t believe the lower score on this beer. I usually think right around the average. This may be the best beer I have had in a LONG time. I’m so glad I bought 2 bombers. This is very similar, perhaps a tad less strong, than the Stone 10th anniversary beer was. Huge citrus mango and pineapple flavors. I would buy this beer all day long (well, i may be to toasted to do that). Amazing and just the right beer for me. steview (902), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 6, 2009 excellent aroma of some tropical fruits and pine, with notes of something meaty and delicious, and maple syrup; the flavor is one meaty grapefruit slathered with malty, hop glaze; it’s absolutely drinkable with the perfect carbonation and mouthfeel for what it is, which is what it is; this is what is great... I don’t know why, exactly, but this brew really hits the spot for me. harbuck76 (134), El Cajon, California, USA
