Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 11, 2008 Orangey-amber colour. Mango, simcoe nose with yuzu and chewy malts. Strong, but with a sweet hop fruitiness. Very bright. Lots of citrus and tropical fruit flavours. Very bitter finish with woody hints of alcohol and light crystal malt chewiness. Suprisingly did not leave any lace on my glass. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 21, 2007 Date: 10/19/2007

CaptainCougar (4633), Rockville, Maryland, USA Oct 19, 2007 Clear copper bronze with a frothy lacing white head. Big grapefruit juice hop nose has some soapy character. Starts lightly pale malty sweet and sugary with a big earthy citric soapy bittering hoppiness. Finishes drier, and very bitter with too much soapy character in the hops. Meh. hopdog (4552), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 16, 2007 22oz bottle acquired in trade with bu11zeye (thanks!). This one’s been on my wishlist for a little while. Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with a huge sized off white head. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Aromas of pine. grapefruit, melons, caramel, and pineapples. Tastes of pine, caramel, pineapples, and grapefruits. Fruity. Nicely balanced and very enjoyable - I could drink this one every day! acrdz (4285), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jan 22, 2008 22oz bottle from Bu11zeye. The cap pops off quickly and with a sharp, loud bang, as I’m rushing to get a glass expecting the worst., when nothing really happens. Into the glass with a careful pour and we see the cause - a rapidly growing white head of pillowy, sticky cotton-candy foam. Stick your nose in and you get a big whiff of brewers yeast, but let it settle out and fall down into the beer and you get a really wonderful bouquet of pineapple, pine sap, sweet lemon zest, and cedar wood, with a clean, inposing but complimentary malt bit - biscuity, crisp, simple - the way it should be. Frothy, resinous, sticky honey, lemon and cedar hop oils coat the tongue, and it finishes with a frothy sea-foam sweet lemonhead and orange candy note. Overall a really decent IPA.
