22 oz bottle from BevMo while on my road trip. Pours a brown-orange color and with good head. Initially, a nice toastly malt slightly burnt with a nice hop bitterness. The hops are very profound and mix decent with the malt though I think less of the toasty malt would lend well to this beer. The hop flavor would seem to go better with a dry malt presence. Good beer just something in the malt keeps me from giving it a better rating.

22oz bomber, no date from Saarlander, thanks Aaron. Pours a clear orange golden with a one finger creamy yellowish white head that takes a minute to settle to a film. Smells pretty fresh--hooray! Aroma of pine, grapefruit, a little bit of floral hops and a nice caramel malt backbone--smells fairly balanced for an IPA. Flavor is much the same, with the caramel lending a nice sweetness to the flavor hops--pine and grapefruit mainly. Bitterness peaks at the finish at a 5 (out of 10). Burps pine and flowers. Creamy medium body with soft carbonation. A nice Pac NW IPA.

Darker, murkier appearance, stale hoppy aroma. Sharp bitterness, not prolonged, but a very good taste.

Draft at brewery. Great IPA. Dark brownish in appearance, with some definite crystal malt influencing the color and flavor. Big hop aroma, pnw, and super hop/citrus bitterness. Great brew. Wished I could try the Idiot IPA but the brewery ran out.

A nice brew for me, lots of hops, but some malt to settle the flavor abit. Hops do dominate though, some citrus, easy drinking, enjoyable.

From a 22oz Bottle. Pours a mostly transparent, canteloupe tinged golden yellow with a thin layer of white head tha quickly reduces to a wispy film. Aroma is fresh and brimming with grassy, floral hops. A little bit of malt sweetness comes through in the nose, and although weak, doesn’t present any harsh or problematic characters. Not really citrusy or piney, but still west coasty in its hop presence, if that makes any sense at all. Light to medium bodied mouthfeel with a full, shimmering carbonation across the tongue. Starts out with a solid pale malt body thats highlighted by some lemon zest and a light cascade herbalness. Smooth and light with a clean refreshing hop character. Gets a little bit grainy toward the back end, which is really the only glaring weak point. Fresh, light, easy drinking, non-overly hopped IPA.

Bottled. Hazy golden coloured with a small head. Round and sweet bodied with notes of malt, grass and pines. Somewhat bitter and dry finish.
