Dec 23, 2008 On tap. Pours with a large fluffy white head with a clear golden body. Great lacing and good retention. Aroma is all fresh grapefruit hoppiness with light caramel notes. Taste is a ton of hops with caramel toastiness and cereal. Bitter finish. Water like mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Some alcohol as well.

Dec 7, 2008 22 oz. bottle. Orange amber color with no head. It barely even left an oilslick. Bitter hopbomb on the nose, but NOT the thick piny sweetness you sometimes get. Alcohol and Yeast. Flavor is fresh and yeasty. More sweetness in flavor than the nose hinted. Messy sticky on the class. Good beer.

Dec 3, 2008 Sampled at Big Pour Mesa, AZ. Unexpected. This was a great beer on tap, honestly a favorite of the event. Very aggressive, more IIPA than single, with juicy grapefruit, ripe oranges, lemon zest, and every other sticky type of citrus available. Vibrant gold with hints of fire engine red rippling through it. Floral hops and biting pine...wow!!!

Nov 27, 2008 On tap at Draft Magazine’s Big Pour in Mesa. Pours a medium amber with off white head. Nose is sweet floral and citrus hops. Taste is sweet ripe citrus, tart grapefruit and resin. Medium mouth feel. Great IPA.

Oct 24, 2008 Bomber. Dark yellow to orange color, thin head. Big citrus aroma with some very nicely balanced hop flavors containing mandarin orange and grapefruit. Has a sweeter finish than other SD IPA from what I can tell. Very good tasting beer.

Thick glowing amber with a solid white head and some moderate lacing. Smell is nice and floral and spring-like. Flavor is hoppy with a great little citris bite and a following yummy sweetness. Nice and smooth mouthfeel. Would surely have again!

smell is hoppy, malt back, pine nuts, a whiff of caramel.
taste is caramel, pine, nice bitter hops.

Oct 1, 2008 Pours a mild hazed amber color with a medium lived light beige head. Smell is fruity, piney, and hoppy, and not over the top. Some nice fruity malt character too. Taste is crisply bitter with nice pine and citrus hop flavors. Good maltiness to balance but still plenty hoppy. Full bodied with nice refreshing carbonation. Awesome drinkability and a fantastic, underrated IPA, I thought.
