Draft… RBSG ’08… Clear golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Great retention. The aroma is all about fresh, juicy, grapefruit. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Leans way onto the bitter side of balance. Tannic grapefruit pith and rind. Lengthy, medium-bitter finish.

Draft @ brewpub. Pours amber with minimal head. Aroma of floral hops. Mild citrus hop taste. Was expecting more. Decent but not great.

This was my first Coronado Ale from the tap at the manchester Hyatt in downtown SanDiego. It was a winner. The hoppy aroma grabbed you from the atart. It was a rich clear copper in color with a modest head. This very smooth ful bodyied IPA was speacial. The alcohol was very balanced with citrus flavors.

Why the hate for this beer? It’s an excellent, floral, fruity, slightly nutty IPA. Full of floral hops that dominate the nose of this one - granted its a fresh bottle. Tongue saturating bitter hops with floral hops everywhere describe this excellent WC IPA. Pours light copper with white head. Great lacing. Flavor is fruity yet dry.

Bottle. Pours a very lightly hazy orange-amber color. A frothy, off-white head settles to a thin blanket and leaves sticky patches of lacing on the glass. The aroma is quite nice, showing a west coast profile of juicy orange and grapefruit, with a strong resinous backbone and a decent amount of toffee malt. The flavor is in the same ballpark, but just isn’t quite as impressive. A blend of grassy, citrusy, resinous hops attack the palate up front. The bitterness is calmed momentarily by light toffee malts, but quickly resumes control and intensifies well after the swallow, leaving a biting, sharp, grassy note on the tongue. Medium-plus in body and moderately carbonated, the feel is ever so slightly syrupy, but annoyingly so. Overall, this is a nice California-style IPA that borders on a double, but be prepared for some serious, lingering bitterness.

bottle via the mystery swap 3.0 thanks: pours a ver pretty slight hazed amber colour with big thick foamy white head. aroma is very citrus hops with a small amount of malt hiding behind the hops, flavour the flavour is candy burst of sweetness followed by a load of citrus hops then goes into a bitter tongue laiden sheet of thick malt. slight aftertaste that is not overly enjoyable.

Poured a decent copper color with fluffy tan head. Nose is hoppy and sweet, as is the flavor. Decent IPA.
