cale422 (25), Timmonsville, South Carolina, USA Jun 10, 2008 Great brew scene in San Diego on my visit. An excellent example of a higher alcohol IPA great citrus hop nose and perfect crispness on the finish. I could drink this brew all day long. lb4lb (1545), Austin, Texas, USA Oct 1, 2008 Pours a mild hazed amber color with a medium lived light beige head. Smell is fruity, piney, and hoppy, and not over the top. Some nice fruity malt character too. Taste is crisply bitter with nice pine and citrus hop flavors. Good maltiness to balance but still plenty hoppy. Full bodied with nice refreshing carbonation. Awesome drinkability and a fantastic, underrated IPA, I thought. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA Oct 23, 2008 9-30-08 bottle <br />
Thick glowing amber with a solid white head and some moderate lacing. Smell is nice and floral and spring-like. Flavor is hoppy with a great little citris bite and a following yummy sweetness. Nice and smooth mouthfeel. Would surely have again! Taverner (517), San Ramon, California, USA Jul 30, 2008 Why the hate for this beer? It’s an excellent, floral, fruity, slightly nutty IPA. Full of floral hops that dominate the nose of this one - granted its a fresh bottle. Tongue saturating bitter hops with floral hops everywhere describe this excellent WC IPA.
Pours light copper with white head. Great lacing. Flavor is fruity yet dry. stefanje (607), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA Aug 6, 2007 650ml bomber bottle. Pours a slightly hazy copper with an ample three finger off-white head that disapates slowly. Aroma was distinct with citrus and hops in the forefront and a bit of tortilla chips in the background. The flavor was very hops forward, a sharp bitter dominates(As it should in a good IPA). In the background, way back, there is some biscut and malted grains in the flavor. The mouthfeel is medium-full and satisfying. The finish is long and leaves just a touch of stickiness but is overall very clean. This is one great IPA that I could drink all day.
