Draught Light orange-amber, some lace from yellowish head. Sharp bitter oranges and impression of fatty acids. Caramel and then a push of sharp, very resiney hops. Very sharp MF, burning and metallic tang. Not Coronado’s best.

Jul 19, 2008 bottle via the mystery swap 3.0 thanks: pours a ver pretty slight hazed amber colour with big thick foamy white head. aroma is very citrus hops with a small amount of malt hiding behind the hops,
flavour the flavour is candy burst of sweetness followed by a load of citrus hops then goes into a bitter tongue laiden sheet of thick malt. slight aftertaste that is not overly enjoyable.

Jun 13, 2008 Poured a decent copper color with fluffy tan head. Nose is hoppy and sweet, as is the flavor. Decent IPA.

Jun 10, 2008 Great brew scene in San Diego on my visit. An excellent example of a higher alcohol IPA great citrus hop nose and perfect crispness on the finish. I could drink this brew all day long.

Jun 2, 2008 lucky me must have gotten a fresh bottle from olibeer22. pours a golden orange color with a rocky off white head and lots of foamy lacing. super fruity floral aroma... cooked pineapple, tangerine skin, orange/ fruit sweetness, sweet caramel grain and pine (woody not needles). orange and light caramel sweetness are quite muted next to the huge dose of sharp bitter hops... pithy citrus and resinous sticky pine bite my tongue throughout. it doesn’t start sweet and fade off... it starts dry and ends dry. medium body with a harshly dry texture and parching mouth feel... just the way i like my ipas. unfortunately, there’s not a whole lot of character but it is awfully good...

May 23, 2008 Samples at Callahan’s in San Diego. This beer pours a clear orange-gold color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Light piney hops and citrus in the nose. Medium-bodied and lightly bitter with flavors of hops and citrus, with some sweeter fruits (tangerine) and sweet malts underneath. The finish is mildly bitter with a lingering fruitiness left behind. Sweeter than a lot of IPAs, and slightly above average overall.
