The aroma had caramel, malts, citrus, and a light, light fruit note. The beer poured a reddish brown color w/ orange highlights and light lasting head and lacing. The flavor had caramel, malts, light citrus, and a light roastiness. The mouthfeel was medium to light bodied and creamy.

Toast and nutty and served a bit flat; nice balance and creamy body otherwise; light citrus hopping finishing a little sweet and tart. Not bad.

22 oz. bottle - Deep amber color with a light off white head. No lacing. Light toasty malt aroma. Malt flavor is also a little toasty with some bitterness coming through toward the end. Medium body. Not bad

Draft at brewery in Coronado, CA: Mahogany color, no head or lacing. Nose of sweet caramel malts and a bit of earthy malts. The flavor is balanced with light fruity hops and a malt forward body. Smooth finish very nice red ale.

aroma is slightly malty, with a touch of citrus grapefruit. Pours a red-amber, nice foamy white head. Earthy malt mouthfeel. More hoppy than expected. Drying hop bitterness in the finish; alcohol harshness is a bit off-putting.

I didn’t like this beer. It really justed didn’t go down easy. Definitely a bit rough around the edges, a bit of a harsh alcohol/acidity ruined it for me. Disappointed.

Brown orange amber color. Fairly malty aromatics with a brace of muted spicy hop. Husky malt character with a slight cascade hop twang. Finish is rather resinous. Mouthfeel is grainy at first, and quickly becomes astringent.

Pours a medium amber color. Aroma is malty with some sweet/sour smelling hops. Malty bitter flavor. A hint of sweetness and spice. Pretty full flavored.
