Tap @ brewpub. Deep red gorgeous jewel tone hue with no lacing. Smells like a walk along the railroad tracks in the summer: a little metallic malt beneath a fresh bouquet of nuts, grasses, and sweet wildflowers. Some salt. Good quaffable palate. A nice, solid one from one of SD’s best brewpubs!

A nice hoppy aroma with sweet malt start this one off. A great unfiltered red color with a light tan head. Flavor is robust malt sweetness with just a nice balance of hops. A little thin but all in all a very nice red. I picked this up while I was in San Diego.

Bottle shared by BigErn. Pours a dark reddish brown in color. Smell is some hops and malt. Not too much to talk about in the taste. Decent, but nothing that draws you back in.

22 oz Bomber-Amber pour w/a HUGE, rocky head. Floral hop aroma. Strong floral hop flavor, just knocks you over. Some malt on the finish, but not enough to matter. Beer is just too far out of balance. I wouldn’t drink this again.

Gloriously hoppy, but subdued enough to draw out hints of honey and brown sugar deep from the malt. Dense. Deep rust color and substantial tan head.

From the tap poured dark amber with a good amount of head. Nice flavor with a quick finish.

on tap-pours a rich retaining tan head and dark amber color. Aroma is biting citrus hops-some metallic, medium malt-caramel. Taste is metallic hops, secondary medium malt-caramel.

Bottle. Darker amber pour with thin tan head. Aroma is lightly roasted caramel malt, a little soapy, and some citrus hops. The flavor is the same with some earthy malt, nuttiness, and floral hops in the mix as well. Pretty good for the style.
