| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 23, 2006 Draft at brewery in Coronado, CA: Brownish strained wood color, nose of nothing. Just a bit of nutty caramel. The flavor is bland, dry, metallic. Finishes watery, thin. Wow, this sucks. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 2, 2005 (Draft: O’Brien’s in San Diego, CA) Coronado’s attempt at a nut brown ale, and it’s okay, but not especially memorable. Mildly sweet, malty, nutty, with a bit of tartness in the finish. Not a whole lot of hops or bitterness in this beer, which isn’t a knock on the beer, just an observation. Lightly malty and nutty nose is pleasant. Medium bodied. Small tan head tops the medium brown body, but dissipates rapidly down to the tiniest of rings. Isn’t bad, but not something I’m likely to order again in the future.
