Certainly does pour a big head over a light yellow body. Did not get much off the nose besides some grassiness. Flavor was very floral hops with hardly any bitterness. But the high carbination that almost stings the roof of your mouth makes you forget what the flavor is. high drinkability for one with a 7.5 abv. mexicanese70 (5), los angeles, California, USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Sep 8, 2008 great beer.i honestly think this is my favorite beer.i really have a hard time finding it.i guess it’s not that popular in southern california harrisoni (6946), Ashford, Kent, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 8, 2008 Bottle from Dranken Geers. Gold, thin white head. A rather fruity lovely tripel. Really drinkable, reasonably light in mouth. OK so nothing particularly characterful, but I like the easy drinkingness. Some jellied fruit, tangerine. Fine. level4 (24), New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 6, 2008 750ml. Pours copper with lots of carbonation and a medium head with a malty, spicy aroma. Flavor is well balanced with citrus and malt and tiny bitterness. Clean finish as well. It may not be the most complex beer but this beer is very drinkable and hides the alcohol extremely well, which is why I like it so much. EHopper (348), Minnesota, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Aug 22, 2008 The six pack I had was full of floating yeast, while this is basically harmless, I generally don’t enjoy things floating in my beer. The pour is a dark maize with a thick head that shrinks down to a nice lacing. The Abbey Pale Ale has a nice malt smell with a bit of spice. The taste is an excellent Belgian taste with plenty of malt and citrus flavor. The palate is also excellent, very smooth with just a slight bite in the aftertaste
Overall, very good, I was skeptical of the yeast floating but I didn’t notice it. If you are a fan of Belgian Ales you will absolutely like this. Bonus points for the ABV, which seems higher than your average Belgian Ale

The aroma of malts, fruits like orange. A litttle pale ale like. The taste is soft, sweet, fruity like peaches and orange. A good balanced beer. The aftertaste has some sweetness.
