| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 11, 2008 Huge beautiful foamy head that persisted a very long time. I’ve seen *stouts* with smaller and less persistent heads than this. Cloudy light golden color with an almost shiny gold surface to the bare liquid when you part that persistent head. Fruity nose of apples and spice with notes of malt. Taste is of apple and white wine, very slightly tart. Bitter/sweet hop finish. This is one of those brews that’s both complex such that it invites you to sip it slowly and saver it and yet is utterly chugable and refreshing at the same time. Good stuff. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2008 Bottle at Village Pub. Poured hazy amber color with a huge fizzy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate yeasty tart citrus aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium fruity crisp flavor with a medium balanced finish of moderate duration with a small alcohol bite. This is a good drinkable beer. puggy211 (589), cordova, Tennessee, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 2, 2008 Probably the winiest beer I’ve ever had. Aroma is champagne-like w. a cheesy element. The head is sparkling, fizzy, reducing to a nice 1/4 persistent head after awhile. Initial taste is also like a sparkling wine. As you taste and swallow, flavor opens up from sparkling wine fruitiness to pleasantly hoppy bitterness, finishing w. a clean mild bite. Very refreshing as an after dinner drink. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 1, 2008 Pours a pale lemon-straw color with blooming cloud-white head and some sediment. Not too much on the nose, some lighter dry fruits, a candy sweetness, lavender (?) follows through on the palate, decent body although light-feeling overall, ends slightly chalky with a light zesty hop character. Seemed like more of a strong pale than a tripel to me. Quack-Duck (3234), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany

Full-bodied, very fruity and malty-sweet, selightly perfumy. Aromatically hoppy, especially in the lingering finish. Bontus (302), Waasmunster, Belgium

Poured into Duvelglass (forgot that I had Corsendonk glasses)
Pours clear blonde/orange with a big white head. Nose is fruity. Aroma’s are perfurmed herbs, fruity bitterness but light. Very drinkable. Mouth warming aftertaste, also a bit lingering sweetness.
