Commercial Description:
It has a very big head indeed - pour it gently - and a very clean palate, beginning with a dry, lightly citric fruitiness, and finishing with a distinctive and delicate, perfumy, hop character. Very light and fluffy in texture, giving little hint of its strength.

Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a monster head ... hard to keep this one confined to the glass. Malty, musty, woodsy, bready nose. Flavor is rich and complex: bits of fruit, citrus, oak, some vinous notes and a very pleasant alcohol warmth. Very active carbonation, gorgeous lacing. Smooth, yet full-bodied mouthfeel. An excellent beer.

From the bottle into its own tulip glass @ Cambrinus, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Wow my notes are harsh from the get go. Tasted this during World Cup so excuse the review. Hazy, camel-piss gold donned by a short lived soapy white crown that left very little evidence behind. Spicy, fresh and clean, tangerine nose with a level of grapefruit but little else. Esters, phenols, fragrant hops, yeast and alcohol spice, where are you? Aroma was boring, palate lacking.
Fizzy, sugary mess in the mouth. Lies comfortably somewhere between ’fizz-whizz’ sherbet and lemon and mango concentrate. Lacks depth or natural flavours, lacks body too. Finish is all sugary fruit essence and it becomes gammy as it warms. Very little bitterness or hop definition, but it does peak through. Not enough to balance out this poorly defined, sugary fix. I swear another and I’d be rushing to join the Rotterdam rave scene. Not my thing at all, and I am one that loves a Tripel tipple. A Pater over this easily. (37,5cL corked, no age stamp)

Hazy golden body with a large frothy white head. Sweet spiced aroma with some light citrus edge. Sweet fruity flavor with a generous helping of spice.

Bottle. Pours out a bright yellow color without much of a head. Smell is lemon, fruits, yeast, and slightly hoppy. Taste is similar, rich on flavor and pretty heavy tasting. Not bad, its been said 474 times before, this is a pretty good beer. Worth trying. It was on the singles rack, only reason I bought it.

Poured a cloudy golden with a large fizzy white head. Refreshing aroma of some light vinousness, grassy hops, and some alcohol. Flavor is very well-balanced and quite refreshing, with notes of grapes, grassy Saaz hops, some light citrus and a dry alcohol character. Though not terribly aggressive, it’s a thirst-quenching beer that balances elegance with refreshment.

Cloudy amber gold with a massive puffy head. Big fruity-flowery aromas with some yeast too. Fairly sweet with complex flavours of bready yeast, bubblegum, apples, and floral perfume (I’m tempted to say violets, but I really have no idea what different flowers smell like). Moderately heavy mouthfeel. Again, not as big a fan of the style as many, but I appreciate this beer for what it is: a terrific example of fine craftsmanship worthy of the style.
