Golden orange amber with floating chunks. Citrus sweet smell, lead straight into its sour citrus taste. Leaves a very dry taste afterwards.

750 ml from Glenville Beverage. Clear yellow, way clearer than I thought. Typical belgian aroma, fruity, malty, spicy, a little sweet and alcoolic. Medium to full body. Flavor is citrus, fruity, pretty sweet. A lot of carbonation. Another good belgian.

Mondial de la Bière de Montréal; Pale yellow color with many residue inside (this is a proof of quality), malty aroma and flavor with just the good level of bitterness.

A really nice beer. Color was least impressive aspect, looking like a pale yellow from an American swill. However, the head was pillowy and large, leaving no lacing and following the beer to the bottom of the glass (carbonation rising to the surface was pretty too). Aroma was a little "off" with yeast and spices detected and only a light floral touch. Flavor was excellent with some tarty citrus and pear flavors coming through to back up the typical hoppy spicey notes found in most tripels. Very carbonated mouthfeel and medium bodied, this one was somewhat sweet but finished dry.

4.2 18 (04.19.06) One pint 9.4 oz brown bottle from Whole Foods Market, Deerfield, IL. Poured hazy golden yellow with medium white head. Soft carbonation. Good fruity spicy nose. Medium bodied Belgium Abbey Tripel ale that starts dry with malt/fruity flavors. Finished dry with light malt fade and some hop bitterness. Well-balanced with good hop presence. No funky sour notes. A delicious drinkable dry Belgium ale.

The tart wheaty whiff of a dry witbier perfumed with unameable spices. Smells seductively Belgian. Mysterious and inviting. Pilsener-pale citrus sweetness that lingers aromatically in the nose. Apricot and coriander? So light and quaffable it’s almost like a white beer-Abbey hybrid. One of the most tasty (and merciful) Tripels around.

Pale yellow with white head. Spices, fruits - citrus family. Yeasty, spicy & hoppy. Lively to average carbonation. The finish has a bitter feel. However this didnt really take me all the way.

On-tap at the Happy Gnome: Pale yellow color with a small whitish capping of firm foam. Nice lacing rings the glass with lots of layers. Aroma is ever changing as it goes from first served to last drop. Apple sauce hits first, then berries, then apricot, then yeasty, and some musty, peppery spices. But always fruity and fairly prominent. Taste is unique and again, ever changing, it has no real tardemark flavor as it goes from one thing to the next. Which made this an intriguing beer to drink. Spices take the main stay with black licorice, cardamon, and white pepper. Some fruityness unsues as it warms carrying a bit of crystal sugars. Light mustyness with a squeeze of unfresh orange mush and a flimsy earth tones yeastyness adding a bit of soured milk to the underbelly in some of finish. Different sips brought new and different things to it nearly every ten minutes of sitting. Unique but bothersome too. I kinda like a beer to stay steady and true. This was a little unbalanced from time to time. Feel is a steady medium body with an easy going smoothness to it. A bit understated with a tad uneven drying finish where yeast tended to give it weird metallic earthyness. A very strange Tripel. Not your run of the mill, beefy-like hefe. Complexingly uneven.
