Commercial Description:
It has a very big head indeed - pour it gently - and a very clean palate, beginning with a dry, lightly citric fruitiness, and finishing with a distinctive and delicate, perfumy, hop character. Very light and fluffy in texture, giving little hint of its strength.

Pours a pale, lemony yellow color with a full, semi spritzy froth. Good head retention w/ full residual lacing. Aroma is citrusy tart. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors are smooth and mellow with tropical essence of pineapple, bannana, green apples, and citrus. The finish is dry and bittered w/ peachpit. Overall: mellow for a tripel.

Bottle (from bitter Virtue, BBE 10/06). Initial yeasty aroma fades to peachy hops. Light with some sweetness and a drying hop finish.

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow ale with a super huge white foamy head with great retention. Aroma of sweet fruit with some very perfumy hops and a distinctive yeast presence. Taste is a nice mix of sweet malt with a floral and sweet qualities to it, subtle spices presence with some interesting yeast signature with a somewhat dry finish. Body is a bit lighter then expected. Very nice example of the style.

I had to try a 2nd bottle after my first one was 4 months past the Best Buy date. It was much better the 2nd time. I was expecting something a little different they their other beers. Still very nice abbey ale.

Smells awesome. Aroma of vanilla and bitter hops. Nice tall, soapy head. Clowdy amber. Nice finish, which is very seet and floral. Not overly malty. Rules.

Nice, fine white head on the golden beer. Some orange and biscuit aromas: yeast and meal. Long nutty, malty finish. The hops make for a bright palate, and the beer has a vinuous champagnelike quality. Very complex and long. Good buttered toast malt and slightly bittering hops.

Frothy fluffy luxurious head upon pour. Lacing builds up & holds up primo as expected. Gorgeous light yellow pale moon in color. Tastes of hints of vanilla masked & mixed with overtones of citrus & fruits. This was a good long lost cousin to revisit after some time apart. Can be enjoyed by a wide variety.
