On the palate this silky smooth ale is predominantly malty, with smoky, spicy and citrusy notes, and a long, lingering finish that is lightly tart and malty.

A rich, deep, full-tasting holiday ale. Definitely one of the better X-mas ales. Pours with a good, solid, dark ruby-red color. Complex, aromatic nose. Tastes of nutmeg, all-spice and orange rinds with hints of cocoa and cinnamon. Overall, very good and filling.... can't wait until next year to have more!

[250 ml bottle] Nice aroma with caramell and herbs and some malts. The color is a nice amber color with nice foam. The flavor is caramell, herbs, and sugary malts.

75cl, cellared for a year. Dark ruby brown, small light beige head. Pear fruity nose, little herbs and sugary maltiness. Sweet pear flavor with liquorice, candi sugar, herbs. Flowery hoppy finish. Medium to full bodied, smooth round palate. A bit restrained flavors, a middle weight christmas brew.

250 ml bottle from Systembolaget. It smells of belgian yeast. Tastes of raisins and a lot of fruit!

The bottle looks good, but a bit kiddy. The beer in the glass is really fine, very dark, nice head. Sweet-malty, modest alcoholic aroma. Tastes not as malty as exspected. Sweet, a bit oily, well balanced warming finish. Good beer!

Bottle. Red/brown colour. Thick golden colour. Smells belgian yeast and candy. Very sweet taste. Crème brûlé, caramel, fruit. Etc. Very smoth. Nice, but almost to inviting, it somewhat lacks in complexity.
