Nose of Cinnamon and spice. Flavors of dark roast compliment a medium palate. Finish of warm alcohol and lingering cookie. Great! swanmann (309), Norman, Oklahoma, USA

Sort of a winey aroma with some burnt sugars and cherries. The flavor is slightly sweet and malty with a hint of roasted bitterness and the nice bready mouthfeel. I think it’s delicious and well balanced with subdued complexity. VERY drinkable. Cheers! Svesse (2683), Hässelby, Sweden

Malty nose with dried fruit, raisins, prunes, dark bread and brown sugar. Malty taste with notes of dark fruit, dark rye bread, raisins and a fairly dry, grainy finish. Not very bitter. Nice and well balanced dubbel. frankhedman (2), , Sweden does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 2, 2008 A typical Belgian beer, good taste and aroma, but nothing special that makes you remember it. timsilvia32 (447), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Dark brown pour, large fluff of a white head. Some malt and sweet aromas, brown sugar. Taste doesn’t waver too far from the aromas. Sweet malt, brown sugar, raisin. A similar spiciness with a pumpkin ale. A little sticky and clean finishing. Not a fan of Abbey ales at all, but this one I don’t mind. Is not overloaded with fruit and carbonation. lithy (1750), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Yeasty spicy aromas. Lots of visible carbonation. Taste is very light bodied despite the color and not as good as I remember, fails to open up as it warms. Blends to a surprisingly pleasant combination. Underwhelming fining however. FatPhil (3483), Espoo, Finland

Dark brown, viscous. Sweet plummy aroma. Very soft palate. Rich malt base, gentle hops. Good, but lacking the special something that the other Corsendonks have had. Sweet spicy finish.
