Commercial Description:
Has a very distinctive bouquet: yeasty, fruity and slightly smoky. In palate, it has notes of port, raisins and black chocolate. Editor's note: Apparently production has moved from Van Steenberge to du Bocq as of Sept 2007.

Wonderful taste. The head seemed to last for ages, and even had its own taste. The finish even had a wonderful flavor. Some spice, hops, caramel, etc. Not a chimay, but still wonderful

12oz bottle-pours a thin light tan head and brownish red color. Aroma is medium/dark malt secondary hops. Taste is medium/dark malt-some sweet/caramel, secondary hops, spice (coriander?) mild carbonation.

Very full aroma. Somewhat nutty right in the nose. The taste didn’t match the depth and complexity of the nose or the color.

Bottled. Pours reddish brown in colour with a rather large off white head. Malty and sweet with notes of spices, yeast, dark fruits and berries. A bit thin mouthfeel and a bit too high carbonated.

11.2 oz bottle, poured into my trusty Chimay glass. Clear deep brown with a thin beige head. Interesting nose - yeasty, mildly nutty, spicy with light citrus. Flavor is lightly smoky malt, spicy and yeasty, a hint of mildly boozy raisin. Very nice, one of the best dubbels I’ve had. What took me so long? This beer is everywhere, and I always passed it up. Never again!

Bottle. Pours dark reddish brown with a creamy, long lasting beige head. Aroma is very fruity with orange peels, and a little roasted malt character, and some yeasty and spicy notes. Medium bodied and very smooth. A bit to sweet for my taste.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a large tan head. Delicious spicy aroma with dark fruits. Nice fruity flavour, with a sweet caramel taste. Short, and a bit salty finish.

Corsendonk is one of the best beers I have had in a long time. Chocolatey and full of other indescribable flavors, there’s a lot going on in that glass. And the head sticks around halfway through dinner, which is pretty cool.
