Bottle, 33cl. In my head, I had memories of a slightly hazy beer, but this time it was translucent. Deep, reddish brown body, with a nice, creamy, beige head on top. Good retention and pretty lacings. Dried fruits, some fresh fruityness, a hint of yeast and a good sweetness in the aroma. Some chocolate as well. The flavor is sweet and sugary, but the sweetness is far from alone. There’s a very present flavor of dried fruits, and also a nice bitterness that lasts. It has a slightly warming mouthfeel, it’s quite sticky and full-bodied. A weak note of cocoa is also present in the flavor. As the beer warms up a bit, a subdued sour note appeares in the aroma, but it’s far from spoiling the experience. I like this one, but I don’t think it would be fair lifting my score any further. It suits the colder months best, and it gives me a little christmasy feeling. Pity it’s so unavailable here in Norway, even though it’s available at Vinmonopolet. (071204)

It poured a red-brown colour with a big beige head that settled down fast in the glass. It has a fruity flavour that smells of raisins and yeast. The flavour is slightly bitter and tastes of raisins, malts and a hint of coffee. It has a short aftertaste.
dolemite77 (156), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Aug 21, 2008 Pours a nice amber/brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma is sweetish with predominant yeast. Flavors are a bit fruity, but not as sweet as expected. Weakest point of this beer is that it is a bit thin, and somewhat overcarbonated. Good beer. jmm635 (51), Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 21, 2008 Bottled. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a very large foamy head. Aroma is full of yeast and slightly malty. Taste is malty and sweet, like black cherries. The bottle recommends serving at 45-55 F but I didn’t like the palate. A little too much bite. I enjoyed it much more as the beer warmed. Dr_Funk (78), Sorumsand, Norway Aug 19, 2008 Bottle from monopoly outlet, CC Vest. pours Dark brown with nice offwhite head. Fantastic fruity aroma of canned pears and some yeast spicyness. Well balanced fruity taste with semi dry finish with some rhubarb. Fantastic
