33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black, and with lacing tan head. Aroma is yeasty, caramel malt and a light fruity note. Flavour is dark malty, caramel and with a light spiced note. A solid fruity flavour takes over before the finish. Fruity and yeasty spiced finish. Light bitterness and a lingering fruity note. Reminds a lot about Wetvleteren 8/12, lovely.

Sep 1, 2008 Very nice look to it. Normal brown ale aroma with a hint of chocolate. Taste is very comparable to New Castle with a little bit more body.

Sep 1, 2008 Murky brown. Dry smell with an earthy quality to it. The flavor has some of the earthy/smoky quality to it I associate with a farmhouse saison. A little hint of chocolate or toffee in the finish. Very dry, but still a nice body.

overall good beer, flavor is wonderful, aroma and looks could be better.

Aug 22, 2008 35,5cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. It poured a red-brown colour with a big beige head that settled down fast in the glass. It has a fruity flavour that smells of raisins and yeast. The flavour is slightly bitter and tastes of raisins, malts and a hint of coffee. It has a short aftertaste.
