Cask conditioned handpump Eastgate Northampton A copper coloured beer with a thick white head and lacing. The aroma is nothingness mixed with a bit of biscuit. Dishwater notes in the mouth with yeast and biscuit. No hop notes at all. Not good

Cask Handpump at the Benjamin Huntsman JDW, Sheffield 14/11/2009 Malt and hop aromas. White head. Golden amber coloured and a little hazy in appearance. Strong in alcohol and floral. A hint of dryness in a very bitter full malt finish.

A Mes rate. Cask at Baker Street ’Sporks.
Yet another beer Spooned to death by useless staff at the Metropolitan. Amber coloured with a vaguely visible white collar. Pondwater, bread (lots of it) and erm... Nope, that’s it. Do people really want to drink something this bland?

Cask at the Moon and Spoon (JDW), Slough. Bright gold with a dense cream head; plain, malty aroma; clean malty taste with a touch of citrus; gentle and sustained bitter finish. Unexciting.

Cellar run at JDW Hatch End. Amber with loose bubbled off white head. Unmistakable Cotleigh house yeast characture of corked wine. Bready malt and a touch of stale english hops. Not in brilliant nic but clearly neither one of this breweries most imaginative creations.

Cask, Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aromas are biscuit and tea with some nutty, herbal notes. Quite yeast. Flavours are toffee malts with dry, woody, nutty notes. Grapefruit and yeast with a fresh palate. Decent.

Cask-conditioned at the Savoy, Swindon 29/10/09. A coppe coliured bitter with a slight, off-white head. Cereal malts, some caramel and a hint of fruity hop. Forgettable.

Cask - West Gate Inn (JDW), Canterbury. A light, golden brown with a small, frothy white head. A dusty hop aroma and some caramel malt on the nose. Really quite musty and yeasty in terms of flavour, both at the fore with a dry toasty, nutty bitterness on the finish. Medium in body with an OK length finish.
