Fairly typical Cottage bitter, dosed with caramel, sweetish mid coloured, malty with just a hint of hops in the mix. Quite a dull beer unfortunately. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 29, 2005 I must admit I didn’t have as many misgivings about this beer as my companions, although I wouldn’t call it exactly good. It had a rather pronounced herbaceous nature - nettles and hay. There was a sharp edge, but I didn’t find it that unpleasant. Not undrinkable. Mid gold colour. Cask (handpump), Ale Wagon, Leicester (RB Leicester pub crawl).

This tasted a bit wrong - so much so that for a moment I thought it might be an English Gueuze... Sour, vinegary, warm, sweet. Quite possibly off. DeepBlack (387), Derby, Derbyshire, England

A mid amber brown colour.
Very sharp / tangy taste & quite harsh.
Probably not at it’s best. Unfortunatly i had a pint rather than a half... maeib (4767), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

A golden coloured beer with a bit of a sour aroma including some off nasty vinegar notes. The taste is on the sour side, and is clearly not on full form. There is a bit of a sour cherry taste hiding in there, which probably shouldn’t be.
