Rich dark amber appearance with a strange aroma that brings to mind foliage and tree sap! Great nutty and malty taste, boosted by some nice fruity notes in the middle. Smooth with a good weight, I found this a very flavoursome and enjoyable pint. bman1986 (142), Broadstairs, Kent, England

Nose is malty, a bit fruity with dried fruit, caramel and a nutty hint. Taste starts malty and nutty then turns fruity with hints of dark cherry and a balanced dusty hoppiness in the finish. Balanced but a bit understated. Nice though. DJMonarch (6878), Northwich, Cheshire, England

Slightly meaty aroma. Good agressive hops in mouth and drying hop finish. Quite nice. As you would expect from Cottage, rich flavours. But this is better than the average bitter.
