imdownthepub (5087), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Jan 1, 2009 Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Chestnut with white head. Proof that Cottage can produce decent beer when they want and bring it back each year. Warming, malty beer with a touch of sweetness, nutty with a slight roasty element. Finishes with a hint of hops, all pretty reasonable. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jan 6, 2008 Cask (handpump) @ Roebuck, Hampton Hill, London TW12, UK. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (271207) harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Jan 8, 2007 Cask handpull at East Cliff Tavern, Folkestone. Deep chestnut colour with thin off white head. Nice syrupy warming malt with balancing hop finish. Hop and malt aroma, fullish in mouth. Rich Cottage malt flavour, but the hop keeps it in check.
