Commercial Description:
Brewed with a variety of malts including Chocolate, Crystal, Munich, and Black Malt; and hopped with Eroica, Mt. Hood, and Northern Brewers hops- then finished with a touch of Real Almond Flavor. This is a fantastically smooth, surprisingly light, and absolutely delicious Stout! The Almond flavor tantalizes the nose, without being overpowering.

Pours black with a fine, light head. Strong, sweet, cakey smell. Lighter mouth feel with a strong, almond/coconut flavor. Crazy.

Bottle thanks to Eric. Pours a dark brown with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet malty and almond flavors. The taste is pretty nice; some vanilla, almonds, cherry, a dry roasted malt and some light hops. The almond does taste kinda unnatural. Overall, not bad at all.

12 oz bottle from Total Wine in Huntersville, NC. Pours a nice dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is malt and chocolate. Taste is smooth, light almond after taste to finish. This was pretty good, I’d drink it again.

Bottle from Turdferguson. Not bad. the Alomond was like an extract flavor but this was light enough for me to sip on while I ate supper. Most Stouts would be a bit heavy for me to do this with. the flavors was a bit roasty. Not great but not bad.

Bottle. Drank in Charlotte. Pours a light brown color with a small head. Nose is light, fake almonds and some sweetness. Palate is syrupy and flat. Flavors of fake almond syrup and some light chocolate notes, hints of coffee

bottle. average creamy brown head into black body. aromas of strong almonds, coffee, and chocolate. flavor is sweet with a touch of bitter. long finish duration. I would like this much better if not for the almonds. They just don’t do it for me.

Dark black pour, nice mocha head. Nutty aroma with some butterscotch and sugary accents. Nutty flavor throughout with some coffee hints in the background and some underlying chocolate. The almonds present a weird twang that permeates throughout and dampens my entusiasm for this just a bit. Begins to metalicize near the end. Pretty thin mouthfeel. Surprise find in the back of a refrigerator at a Super Bowl party - host said he got it in one of those beer of the month clubs.

Opaque stout, light brown head. Pleasant aroma, hint of a roasty almond. Just enough hopiness to make it interesting, could have more. Very drinkable though, good mix of mocha, vanilla, with the almond at the end. This years version doesn’t seem to have the negative after effects last years version did. Haven’t cared for any of Carolina Beer Company’s other efforts, but I’d buy this one again.
