| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 17, 2006 Hazy amber-red colour. Woody, bitter orange aroma with earthy, brown sugar malts. Quite sweet on the palate, sticky crystal malts dominate the woody, earthy hops. Bump up the scores a bit if you dig lots of crystal in your IPA. brentfeesh (1038), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 15, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pours amber with a light off white head and decent looking carbonation. Lightly fruity aroma with creamy malts and a metallic hint, but somehow there is some unpleasantness. The flavor is nutty and spicy (an earthy bitterness really) but fairly boring. The biggest draw back is too much carbonation that messes with the semi-dry mouth feel. Medium body. eaglefan538 (2368), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2006 True amber color and clear. Citrus and pine in the aroma. Flavor was mostly floral hops and pine underneath. The caramel malt background was satisfactory to support this IPA. Grapefruits nearly absent. Very nice lacing rings on the way down. Mouthfeel was moderate for the style and carbonated. OldGrowth (1426), North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2006 Draught @ Flying Suacer Raleigh. Ok nose, sweet. Carmel & citrus. Clean reddish orange color, ok head and lacing. Bittersweet flavors, citrus steps up, little woody, and caramel still around. Medium body, oily creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Tasty, decent balanced IPA decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 1, 2006 Cracked it open from a bottle and could smell the cascades. Poured a dark amber. A nice smooth hop malt mix. Just a bit of a weak bitter but overall a very decent beer. Ughsmash (4030), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 30, 2006 Bottle thanks to Sumdog! Poured a clear medium reddish-orange with a tall cap of loose beige head. Nose was rather subdued... with floral and woodsy hoppage and caramelly sweetness... hard to find the Cascade from the description. Lighter-bodied, yet tacky on the palate with caramel and toasted toffee resin... pine and woodsy bitterness slowly enveloped the palate. Tacky and moderately bitter finish. Just decent. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 14, 2006 Nothing wrong with this brew whatsoever. IT did have a bit of a darker color to it, but thats cool. Very hopy in both the aroma and body. Excellent session beer, very good. arjoseph (594), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 23, 2006 12 oz. into Duvel tulip, obtained in a trade with Suttree (I think), summer of 2004. Aroma is faint, but I can pick up some floral and grapefruit hops. Clear amber in the glass with a peachish fluffy head, dissipating rockily. Visible carbonation cascading up. Dense lacing is patchy, but uniform and sticky. The flavor is weak and watery, with the hops barely present and metallic when they are. No finish at all. Medium bodied. A disappointment.
