| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 1, 2005 This was my favorite of the Carolina Beer Co. brews. Absolutely beautiful dark red color--it is almost purplish with gold highlights. Reminded me of the sunset I saw that evening. It smells of sweet hops. The palate is very balanced, yet it bites. Flavors of grapefruit and hops work well together, with a somewhat soapy aftertaste. Very good, tart IPA. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 31, 2005 Not a bad IPA, finishes dry, pretty hoppy. Light to medium bodied. You can smell the hops very strongly. IndianaRed (1560), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Oct 29, 2005 Bottle Pours a clear, nice deep amber with a tall off white head that quicly settles out. Aroma of sweet malts and soft hops. Caramel and butterscotch also. Flavors are an off ensemble of biter woody hops and strange vegetable skins. Very strange. I might be temptd to say that it is unintentional. Metalic and burnt. Grassy bitter aftertaste. I keep looking for a bottled dateonm this thing. Aftraid what I may find. slang (406), Columbia, South Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 28, 2005 Light copper colored ale. Light nose that has floral noses and yep a little bit of malts. Tastes are right along the classic IPA style. Nothing too controversial here, and the bitterness is still enjoyable. ’Hell yeah!’, once again, to Cottonwood. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 23, 2005 Brown, transparent with an off white head. Malty, molasses aroma, little hop aroma evident. Little thicker mouthfeel than many IPA’s with a pronunced malt character. Some hop flavor, with bitterness coming on in the finish. A nice IPA, although not as dry as many.
