Commercial Description:
ENDO INDIA PALE ALE is said to be "Brewed with Altitude". The style is similar to IPAs from the Pacific Northwest. We dry-hoop Endo with Cascade hops to enhance the aroma and bitterness.

Pours dark amber with a large head. Aroma of grassy hops, faint dark fruits, and tea. Interesting flavor. Only a light citrusy hop presence, but that tea is very noticeable. Very smooth. An atypical IPA.

12oz bottle. Served at 44.5° in my Duvel tulip. I’ve had this for a while, not sure how old it is. Reddish brown with a cream colored head. Lots of floaties, some pretty big. Aroma is brown sugar, plums, dark fruits. Spicy, citrusy hops. Large malt mouthfeel. Citrusy, spicy flavor with a huge, brown sugary, malt backbone. Tastes almost like a barleywine lite. Good stuff, I’ll bet the flavor is hoplicious when it is fresh.

10.01.05 GABF Called simply Carolina Beer IPA at the fest. Deeply hazed orange gold with hardly any head. Aroma and flavor full of diacetyl, like buttered whole grain bread. Some cooked veggies. Just horrible. Background notes of something hoppy/citrus. Certainly won’t cause me to detour to Mooresville next time I’m in NC.

Bottle: Cloudy caramel, moderate sand colored head, foamy with nice lacing.   Moderate hop nose, but also minor wet cardboard.   Luckily the flavor shows no signs of cardboard, and is actually quite pleasant with minor grapefruit and tea leaves... and of course a moderate hop presense.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, but wanting to be more.   Finishes with a malty sweetness, hops are very subtle at this point, lingering grapefruit.   Pretty tasty, albeit more similar to a West Coast Pale Ale.   Thanks Dan!

dark yellow pour huge fluffy well laced white head w/ visable carbonation. Crisp cascade hop aroma orange rind and carmel.. very fresh. Palate was much to light. Flavor was pretty watery and weakly bitter.. grass and nothing else.. a very blah ipa

Amber color with cream- colored head. Darker than I’d expect for an IPA. I thought it was a little short on aroma. I can’t put my finger on it, but something was lacking that would’ve upped it from an OK beer to a really good beer. I thought it was fine for a hefty American Pale Ale, but a little puny for an IPA.

bottle. Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve visited this one. The pour is a hazy copper with a small white head. The nose is maltier than I remember, but I’m much more accustomed to a good IPA these days. Some faint citrus is detectable in the nose, but mostly just bready malts. The flavor is pretty much the same. Low hop presence for the style, mostly a sweet caramel flavor. The finish highlights a little bit more grapefruit. This is nothing special at all. It really didn’t even quell that hop craving I’m having right now.
