MUCH more of an English IPA than American according to my tastebuds. I picked up no PNW qualities in this one. Adam77 (409), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 7, 2009 Brewed with attitude? OK. Similar to PNW? Now I’m intrigued. Maybe protective. As if I have any power or anyone cares what I think anyway. Meh. Let’s start with this is a picturesque beer for me. Golden amber, 2 finger sticky head, suspended sediment throughout the pint glass with a perfectly even distribution. I don’t know why I like this so much but it’s working tonight. I don’t get Cascade on the nose, just caramel malt and dry earthy hops. Begins with that same earthy character, gets a little juicy with some lemon and grapefruit notes, finishes with more dry earthy hops and toasted cracker. robertjm (418), El Cerrito, California, USA

Not overwhelming, but clean. Off flavor. Can’t exactly pick it up. Oxidation? Bottle infection? No ring around the color, but definately not what I’d expect from something that is supposed to have Cascades in there. Hmm..... sirpsycho (356), Murrysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2009 Bottle. Pours an amber, small off-white head. Aroma is sweet hops and citrus. Flavor is hops, malt and nice touches of citrus, touch of caramel hiding in the background. glennmastrange (868), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Tap. Moderate malt notes of roasted and caramel, moderate pine and slight orange peel for the hops, light dough for the yeast, and hint of date. Head is small, wispy, white, with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is slightly hazy, light orange brown. Flavor is lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, watery and has a carbonation between lively and soft. It finishes lightly dry. Common smells and flavors of an IPA, but nice, and well balanced. TheShat (131), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
