| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2008 Tasted on a recent visit to Woods on South in Charlotte, NC. Pours a generally clear amber color with thin white head. Aroma is hoppy with some notes of spice. Flavor is very similar to most IPAs with some citrus notes, hoppy-bitterness, and a light to medium mouthfeel. Quick, bitter finish. Scubatrip (388), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 14, 2008 On tap, pours a cloudy brownish reddish with a small white head. Aroma is earthly malty, nothing special. Taste is the same. Earthy hops’ not that bitter, it’s got a watery taste but is not a watered down beer. It dries out your mouth in the aftertase, which is probably why I’m drinking this so fast. Not bad, nothing to write home about. brew4fun (172), West Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | May 19, 2008 Pours clear copper with big creamy off-white head that lasts halfway down the glass. Refreshing aroma of piney/citrus hops. Taste is malty, with moderate hop complement. Moderate body with a a nice moderate bitter bite. Nice every day brew. webjedi (249), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 18, 2008 On tap at Charlotte Airport (2007). Nothing special, a little hop on the mouth, less so on the nose. Nice color though. Out of the four tried that evening it was the best of them, and also came highly recommended (which isn’t much noting it was at the airport) IPALover (57), Carlsbad, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 13, 2008 I wonder if the bottle I sampled was old but this was not very impressive. No significant aroma (for an IPA) and I’m surprised to read it was dry hopped with cascade as the normal citricy, grapefruit taste/smell didn’t come through like a normal west coast style IPA. I really enjoyed the brewpub from years ago but this beer didn’t work for me. shp555 (1693), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2008 Pours a nice copper color with a tan head. Aroma is malty, toasty, and some piney hops. Flavor is malty, toasty, nutty, and piney hop finish. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 6, 2008 Draft. Murky golden brown with a white head. Nose has lots of sweet caramel and brown sugar, some grassy hop. Weak, drippy lace. Nutty caramel flavors, grassy and lightly floral. Solid bitter citrus twist in the finish. Decent. nick76 (2694), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 6, 2008 The aroma is quite toasted for an IPA and has more malt than hops. The hops are more of a grass hop than a citrus or pine hop. The appearance is a dark amber with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall it’s drinkable but thats it.
