Brown Ale is a new one for me. I enjoyed this one. It’s got that aley bitterness but it’s got more flavor than the other ales I’ve tried. Dark brown-reddish color was exciting!

In the bottle at Early Girl Eatery in Asheville, NC. Copper-brown in color. Medium body, carbonation, hop bitterness, and mouth feel. This is fairly unremarkable, other than the caramel-chocolate undertones.

Nice head initially, but disappeared pretty quickly. Chocolaty brown opaque appearance. Not much aroma. Nutty taste. Kind of watery at end.

Clear brown with a light beige head. Aroma is very light, some roasty malts. Taste has some notes of nuts, roasted malt, some chocolate. Not sweet. Mouthfeel is very watery. Overall, very dull and limp.

Clear copper with a soapy tan head. Aroma is light roasted nutty malt. Flavor is Nutty grainy and very lightly hoppy. Needs more of everything. Medium-light body.

Nutty nose, somewhat hoppy, too. Thin, watery brown. Lager yeast-like sourness. Strange off flavors. Drain pour.

Bock-ish. Sour. Dirty tasting -- like old water left in the back sink of an aging gas station sitting along a deserted highway where old men discuss the days before the interstates and affordable air travel. Perhaps it tasted more like those cartoons where the bums boiled old shoes in a large metal drum. Either way, this sucked.

Chocolate aroma, auburn, pours a huge toffee head. Mild coffee/chocolate flavour, woody notes. Medium bodied, bitter. Good. Thanks again Radek and Carolyne.
