It had a sweet taste of a scotch ale with some candy sugar notes. Silky smooth with a nice mild sweetness. Much like the endo is a good basic IPA, this is a good basic brown. nick76 (2675), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 25, 2008 The aroma is sweet with toasted malt, metal, sugar candy, and cream soda. The appearance is brown with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma and papery. The palate is thin. Overall I am a little disappointed since it’s sort of a failed attempt at a brown. vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Dark brown in color. The aroma is faint with just a bit of malt and nuttiness coming through. The flavor is sweet malt with a bit of roasted chocolate. A decent English Brown Ale but nothing distinctive. Collint (458), Sylva, North Carolina, USA

It absolutely REEKS of sunflowerseeds, and the resulting flavor is wonderfully salty, full bodied, and nutty with hints of cocoa Old Bay. This beer was fantastic, I was shocked at how delicious it was considering its 64% rating. This may be my new sub $7 staple beer. jlthiering (47), Viginia Beach, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 13, 2008 Taste like a kids "beer". The chocolate flavor tastes much like nesquick and it has a very smooth taste that is quite pleasurable. rickj (2), USA does not count | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Nice brown pour. Tan head. Nice after taste, but looses it’s "hmmph" after the first one. Still, a good beer, and I will drink it again.
