Pours a mixture of copper/orange/auburn colors, with a slight tan wispy head. Much more head with the on-tap variety for me. Little lacing though. (poured in a Mason jar at Mellow Mushroom in Blowing Rock, NC) A softer aroma than the bottle, some pumpkin flesh and spices, but almost a "perfumey" air to it. A soft floral air. The taste was also more rounded on the edges than the bottle, with less of an abrasive character to it. Plenty of nutmeg here in the flavor. Pumpkin tastes are evident, but more nutmeg spice than anything. Average mouthfeel I would say, nothing watery or super viscous. VERY drinkable. Especially in the atmosphere of the Appalachians with a nip in the air and plenty of autmn leaves falling around you. A wonderful October treat! eboats (889), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Aroma was brown sugar with some pumpkin pie and whipped cream mixed in. Flavor was light pumpkin pie, mostly whipped cream, and spices. Body was watery and flavors were weak. Sweet beer overall that gets sweeter as you go. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

Smells and tastes like pumpkin pie. I only wish I had more than a six pack in my basement to tide me over to this fall. jhliesen (406), West Melbourne, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 8, 2005 Bottle-The beer can be explained in one word-nutmeg! The aroma and taste is dominated by the nutmeg with the malts hiding under there providing the support. Pours a dark amber color with almost no head. A fine pumkin ale. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA
