Taste is kind of flat, a little wattery. Some spices, mainly cloves and nutmeg. Not nearly as good as Millys (Manchester, NH) pumpkin brew. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 11, 2004 Bottle pours cloudy dark caramel, small fizzy off-white head, lively carbonation, with spotty lacing. Light nutmeg/pumpkin spice, but lots of herbs and cooked vegetables on the nose. Malty tongue, very slight herbs or cooked vegetables noticed in the aroma, but instead a nice combination of nutmeg and pumpkin spices. More pumpkiny and less nutmegy, unlike many other in this genre. Medium body and mouthfeel. Good finish, not long but lingering spices in the aftertaste. Just the right amount of spicing in my opinion.   Tasty! Thanks goes out to Suttree for the trade!

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2004 Creamy crimson coloration, full haze, 1/2" cap of eggnog-hued head.
Aroma: soft, sensuous, spicy...like putting your nose right up to a pumpkin pie. Nutmeg and cinnamon, bright and pleasant, a little hot.
Light on the palate, very mellow, rich with malty flavor. Brisk, tiny hop bite greets the lips and fades fast, just enough to tickle the tongue. Body’s about medium, finish is sweet, if slight.
A decent brew, I can stand a few of these.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 16, 2004 Pours a deep reddish amber body. Almost no head on this. No is deeply spiced and malted. Strong clove and ginger with moderate pumpkin aromas, i.e. pumpkin pie. Taste is spicy and malty with light fruit notes and a pleasant pumpkin pie-like flavor. Body is moderate but has thin parts and a decent spice tingle to it. Finishes with more pumpkin pie flavors and some decent malt flavorings. Not too bad a pumpkin beer. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2004 This is a fun beer. Very festive. The only other spiced beer I’ve had was that shit Sam Adams put in the winter variety pack. Unlike that, this one is good. The spice is not overpowering and tastes like, believe it or not, pumpkin. I definitely am going to drink some for Thanksgiving dinner. grat (433), ST. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 10, 2004 Although I’ve only tried one other Pumpkin brew, this one was leaps and bounds better. Lovely deep copper color, peach white head. Nose is distinctly of nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavors really reflect this, with a nice body to boot and not too much carbonation. The nutmeg definitely overpowers everything else, this adds a slight chalkiness and a slight...and I mean very slight...chemically flavor. All in all an excellent pumpkin brew.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 18, 2004 Draught @ the Brewery: The beer pours a rich coppery color that was somewhat clear. There was a bit of head on it. The aroma was completely that of pumpkin pie spices. The taste was really good. There was a fairly full malt body behind the spices. The spices could have been a hair less. Overall this was a good pumpkin beer! 00cobraR (1098), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
