Bottled - Cambrinus - Brugge. A hazy copper coloured beer with a thin sheet of white head. The aroma is lemony with yeast notes and seems a little perfumed. The taste is medicinal and yeasty. Alcohol comes through in spie of its 6%. Didn’t really get any spice or the other odd ingredients.

Bottle at Cambrinus, Bruges. Cloudy dark copper, thin off white head. Orange peel/tangerine. I thought it was ok.

Bottle: Dark gold, fine bubbles with a lasting white head. Citric nose with some vanilla and spice notes. Sweetish start, with a slightly tart dry finish. Nice biscuity malt notes, with some gentle spices there too. Perfectly drinkable.

Bottled. Citric sourness, grapefruit aroma. Amber color, large beige head, good lace, lots of bubbles. Pretty sweet, fruity, malty, bit earthy/yeasty, none of the citrus or sourness back in the flavor, little sticky. Very drinkable although too sweet.

A nice fluffy white head. The initial taste is very strange and soft, a bit of sweetness and caramel are noticeable. The aftertaste is bitter. There is maybe a little bit of sourness noticeable in the aftertaste but this is certainly not a flemish sour ale. This is a very quenching brew. (Bottle 25cl)

(Bottle 25 cl) Amber coloured with a decent, off-white head - some haze. Sweetish malt, a touch of caramel with a fine, moderate hoppy finish. Nice. But have to agree with lachesis - this is no sour ale. Peter Crombecq defined it as an "extra" - a not too strong ale that doesn’t fit into most other categorie. We should just label it "Belgian Ale" I believe. 081197

Hazy orange-amber color with nice beige head. Smell is very malty, caramely and has some accents of flowerpollen. The taste is smooth, malty, light caramely and ends with a well integrated bitter touch. The balance in taste and smell is great. A Flemish SOUR ale ?????
