The aroma is lemony with yeast notes and seems a little perfumed. The taste is medicinal and yeasty. Alcohol comes through in spie of its 6%. Didn’t really get any spice or the other odd ingredients. harrisoni (6828), Ashford, Kent, England

Citric nose with some vanilla and spice notes. Sweetish start, with a slightly tart dry finish. Nice biscuity malt notes, with some gentle spices there too. Perfectly drinkable. jbrus (4883), Delft, Netherlands
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 16, 2005 Bottled. Citric sourness, grapefruit aroma. Amber color, large beige head, good lace, lots of bubbles. Pretty sweet, fruity, malty, bit earthy/yeasty, none of the citrus or sourness back in the flavor, little sticky. Very drinkable although too sweet. Sten (289), Westerlo, Belgium
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 7, 2005 A nice fluffy white head. The initial taste is very strange and soft, a bit of sweetness and caramel are noticeable. The aftertaste is bitter. There is maybe a little bit of sourness noticeable in the aftertaste but this is certainly not a flemish sour ale. This is a very quenching brew. (Bottle 25cl) Papsoe (15009), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 16, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Amber coloured with a decent, off-white head - some haze. Sweetish malt, a touch of caramel with a fine, moderate hoppy finish. Nice. But have to agree with lachesis - this is no sour ale. Peter Crombecq defined it as an "extra" - a not too strong ale that doesn’t fit into most other categorie. We should just label it "Belgian Ale" I believe. 081197 lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2005 Hazy orange-amber color with nice beige head. Smell is very malty, caramely and has some accents of flowerpollen. The taste is smooth, malty, light caramely and ends with a well integrated bitter touch. The balance in taste and smell is great.
